The days of hand-churning ice cream are now just a fond chapter in the history of Las Lapas gourmet ice cream. But if you tour our operation you'll see that home-spun finesse is still the first ingredient in each of our products.

Pastures for the milk cows stretch along the Destierro River where majestic trees of the jungle offer home to a diversity of wildlife, including the Great Green Macaw (in Spanish, called Lapas) and the famous noisy Howler Monkey. Follow it down-river to Nathan's side of the farm where the boisterous Rio Destierro meets the regal waters of La Perla River, forming a juncture of spectacular natural splendor. These two rivers enfold the soils of the dairy operation Lecheria Las Lapas, and Mighty Rivers Eco-farm where beef cattle and chickens are pastured, and where fruit and nut trees contribute to the spectacular beauty of the "rich coast."
