Please note that here in Costa Rica we measure land by the hectare and square meter. There are 2.4 acres in a hectare, and 10,000 square meters in a hectare. Most of the properties we contract fall into either homestead, eco-developement or preservation catagories. Homestead properties range from about 1 to 20 hectares, suited for year around gardening and animal husbandry. Eco-development properties are suited for dividing into lots and creating lodges or residences. (Property here is almost tax free, and there are few building restrictions.)
